I love hats

I'll admit, I'm a summer girl through and through, but I CAN get excited about some of the changes that fall brings. It's crochet season again!!

I've been cranking out beard hats like they're going out of style (one could argue they never were IN style, but my sales figures would beg to differ) and I've discovered a new favorite crochet project - POM POM HATS!

Meet Lane, my beautiful hat model. Lane is wearing a green hat with detachable pom. I sell them for $15.00. I can make this pattern in any color and can turn it around in a day or 2.

Two-color hats are available for $20.00 and I'm thinking of starting a school-color series. Stay tuned for some JMU purple and gold!!!

What color hat would you like?

1 product, 2 uses!

Is it a coffee cozy or is it a camera case? It can be both!

When I bought my new camera a few months ago, one of the main requirements was that it had to be small enough to fit in my purse or pocket. Since it is so small, it's also pretty delicate, so I needed a way to protect the camera, without negating the whole purpose of getting a slim camera!

I had already been making these coffee cozies and realized they double perfectly as a camera case! It doesn't add bulk, but it protects against scratches (and accidental drops!) Find the color that works for you. Cozies (and camera cases!)

Coffee Break

Sometimes, you set out to sell one item, and something completely different takes off!

I thought I'd use my etsy site to sell scarves, but then I decided to use some leftover yarn to create reusable coffee cozies. It's turned into my #1 seller! I actually use one as a camera case - it's perfect because it doesn't add bulk, but it protects the camera when I throw it in my purse.

I love making these because I can experiment with different color combinations and patterns. Plus, they look so much better on your coffee cup than those ugly paper sleeves. Oh, and they're only $5!
